UNITE HERE Begins Battle with Aramark
October 10, 2008 09:06 PM PDT
UNITE HERE recently stepped up their campaign against Aramark, a corporation that provides food service to prisons, conference centers, and -- until last year when their contract was cut due to public pressure-- the Philadelphia School District. Dan Jones, high school junior and Philadelphia Student Union member, produced this piece about Aramark workers' campaign for better conditions. This piece originally aired on Philadelphia Student Union's youth-produced radio show On Blast. http://onblast.podomatic.com |
