The Philadelphia Parking Authority is using abusive ticketing practices to wring more money out of taxi workers' pockets. Dubbed "drive-by ticketing" by cab divers, this practice includes ticketing cabs while they drop off or pick up passengers --even at designated cab stands-- and mailing tickets up to weeks later, making it very difficult to for drivers to contest these violations and forcing drivers to pay large fines. In this piece, Femi Animashaun and Patrick Anamah, members of the Taxi Workers' Alliance of PA, discuss the issue.
