Casinos in Philly: It's Not a Democracy, It's a Circus!

Despite City Councils' recent unanimous approval of Foxwoods Casino, the fight to keep predatory gambling out of Philly is heating up. On June 25, the No Casino in the Heart of the City Coalition opened its new office-- right across from the proposed slots parlor at 8th & Market-- by hosting an Anti-Casino Circus! Patrick Anamah was at the Anti-Casino Circus and interviewed three members of Asian Americans United: Olivia, Helen Gym & Ellen Somakawa. |
